Re: Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington: R.I.P.

This one really got to me. LP was the first band I really got into, recommended by a friend back sometime after Meteora was released (I think 2004). But even more I got to see them live for the first time at the end of July in 2007. It was also my first proper concert, the first of what would be man...

Re: The "Where have the years gone" thread

Recently finished up an engineering degree so that was pretty nice and I'm actually kind of proud of that. Also going through some other life changes soon possibly. Beyond that I still haven't started a career yet and still don't have much of a life. I'll see how that goes. I'm also still charting s...

Re: Band Shirts You Own

A few Muse (clearly)
Radiohead
Mount Eerie/the Microphones that I always get complemented on
Queens of the Stone Age
The Antlers
Kishi Bashi
Nine Inch Nails

At least those are the ones I wear enough to remember.

Re: Game you're currently playing?

Verdun mostly. Real fun in a horrifying and stressful way. Also JJBA Eyes of Heaven on the PS4. Verdun is great, i just got it on ps4 because my pc is barely powerful enough to run it. If you wanna play sometime feel free to add me on steam, my account name is micicle. Tried it on PS4. A bit weird ...

Re: An idea regarding dead threads

I had the warning when I came back after forgetting about the site for a bit. I liked it. I don't know if I'd be up for full unbumpable threads. I'd hate to have had lost my old one.

Re: FretsOnFire.net Forums are back online!

Having been a part of so many websites that "upgrade" to some bloated unbrowsable mess it's always nice to see upgrades that are nicely evolutionary. Haven't seen any glaring problems. Are there any plans for the future to utilize the upgraded backend?

Competitions would be cool to bring back. Maybe I could offer my own feedback too if it happens.

Oh to have such a small community.

Re: i hate charting.

I still enjoy it, I like seeing songs I like get translated into the game format. Download counts have plummeted since this game isn't that popular anymore, and I stopped for a while because of that, but seeing the occasional thank you is good enough. I at least like to hope I make something of qual...

Re: IndexError in loading single vocal track

Double post but I found the source of the problem. The entries in the Events track were of type Lyric somehow (Reaper usually defaults everything to Text Event on a new session). The result was that after loading the vocal track through addVocalLyric it would then start adding each event as a lyric,...

IndexError in loading single vocal track

So I'm trying to test out a song and in loading the vocals I get the "IndexError: list index out of range" exception. Stack trace shows it's thrown from addVocalLyric function in Song.py from the line track = [i for i,j in enumerate(self.song.parts) if self.partnumber == j][0] I've encount...

Re: Guitar Hero Live

There's a number of songs I like, a number I don't care for, and a few I don't like. Also interested in how the new guitar setup will work. But I still don't trust this franchise after what happened in 2009.

Re: C3's question thread

Despite being here for a while I never even heard of C3 until a couple months ago. Anyone care to explain breifly what all this conflict is about multitracks and such? I've seen it mentioned quite a bit here. The reason the master tracks are kept secret is the same reason why, for example, a lot of ...
