I just tried playing it with a half step down with the original song, and you can easily tell that its supposed to be standard tuning

the bass sounds fine with 1/2 step down, but if it doesn't when mixed with the guitar playing standard I'll just re-record.

well of course its not ganna sound right with the bass 1/2 step down. but its your choice if you want to play it like it really is or play it half step down, cuz i recording with the drums if you want to hear what it sounds like in standard

Hey you guys can suggest songs if you want. Kal is working on some songs, but we might decide to release them under the Deth Metal Planet name rather than Vai. Perhaps we could release a "Split" album after a while (half vai, half DMP).

BTW guys, Kal and I talked about doing a "Split" album between DMP and Vai. I think that would be fun. 5 songs by each "band." It'll probably just be covers at this rate though.

My stuff has a lot less soul. In fact, it probably sold it to Satan for all I know. I'll be happy to do Deth Metal Planet as the lead player, my microphone just doesn't get low frequencies very well, that's why I can't do rhythm.
