Image Full Release (WinRAR archive) - updated Oct. 8, 2008 (MegaUpload host; 134 MB)
Both compatible with Linux / Mac OS

User provided mirrors:
Rock Band 2 Theme 1.4 Light Version and separate main menu music and stages (WinRAR archive; MediaFire) - provided by death_au

Feel free to make mirror links to other sites.

Changes 1.3 - 1.4:
** Completely new Neck Selection Screen (by Ds~ - with permission)
** Fixed newer background stages (by Super_Crazy_Dude) - now the game won't freeze with black screen or load really long
** Darker partial grey stars with glow v.3 (by .liquid. - with permission)
** Changed versiontag.png and optionsbg.png to display actual MFH Mod and RB2 Theme versions

How to install:
1. Download the theme *.rar file using one of the links above.
2. UnRAR it's contents to your Frets on Fire MFH-Alarian Mod v2.995 (you can find the download link for it in my signature) folder - {disk}:/{game folder}/data/themes.
For example, C:/Program Files/Frets on Fire/data/themes/ or D:/Games/FoF/data/themes/.
3. If you did everything right, you'll get a "Rock Band 2" folder in themes folder.
4. Launch the game.
5. Go to Options/Settings.
6. Go to Theme settings.
7. Change "Theme" to "Rock Band 2" and scroll down till you find "Apply New Settings" line and hit it.

Is that seriously the main menu o_O

woooow that's awesome o_O
I can't really say much, the mod is awesome, I only think that minor details on gameplay, such as the rock meter and the notes will be improved with some time, but wow o_O

I guess people on forums won't ask where the mods I use come from as often as random guys do :D

That's only if you are playing a Rock Band song.

Don't worry, I caught myself asking that to... myself... in my head one day, and then I realised I was playing a Guitar Hero 3 song. :p

Dan1lo, Figure was working on RB2 score multiplier graphics.
And I will start working on RB2 rock meter soon.
These are the only two features missing yet.

And thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I'm hoping to use it myself with decrypted RB2 song rips and career files (when they come out after the game release).

evil-doer, you should ask cama about it or use the same method as in ripping the songs from RB1.
I totally envy you. :p

Python and FoF
Spoiler:

blazingamer wrote:I still don't like you people that say Python is the reason why the game goes slowly. It's not python that makes the game slow, the only thing that is slower in python than c is the compile time and the variable type signing (since it's dynamic) but if you keep variables the same type the whole time then it won't go slower than c. The only reason why these C versions that people keep making are faster is because the code is seriously bare bones. If you look at all the different passes and modules that FoF has to go through compared to one of those games, in addition to the way math is handled, you'll see why FoFiX lags so much. The code is written from an excessively modular base that is poorly written for what it needs to do, it could be simpler and as a result faster. Not only that, but most of these C games are written in directX and are windows only, most graphics cards are optimized for directX over openGL, so of course it's going to run faster if it's directX, the only reason why FoF is openGL is because the developers wanted it to be cross platform.

So, before you start blaming python for the reason why FoF is slow look at the code yourself and see why. If it was written in C except everything was kept in tact the same way it is written in python, it will go just about as slow, maybe a just maybe little faster just because C can do math faster.
