Frequent crash when starting song

I get crashes about 50% of the time when starting a song, right after selecting the difficulty and the screen goes black. Every entry in the log file looks like this:

KeyError: 2

The KeyError is the only thing that's different. Seems like it's always 0 - 4.

Not sure, but it looks like it's having a problem with your input device. Did you change the keys per chance?

1. Go go Start > Run > %appdata%
2. Rename the fretsonfire\fretsonfire.ini to fretsonfire_.ini

Maybe this works.

That may have fixed it, but as soon as I changed my key settings (my keyboard has a gap between F4 and F5, so I don't want to use those keys) it starts crashing.

What kind of keyboard is it? Try (temporarily) setting the keys to 1-5 and see if it works then.

1-5 is what I'm trying to use. And it's just an ordinary Logitech PS/2 keyboard. And I have the same problems when using a USB keyboard from an old Mac G4.
