IIRC, GH3 doesn't use MIDI files. Some programs convert from GH2 MIDI's (and .charts) into the GH3 format automatically, so people just stuck with the GH2 MIDI format.We know that at least GH3 (?) currently uses custom HOPOs but for the most part we don't know how they denote that inside the midi file (if at all).
